So …
Most of you all know i have a 30% hearing loss … and today i went back for my 6th month checkup and my hearing has worsened.
So … i have to get hearing aids … due to the nature of the loss and the “downward sloping” loss, i am unable to use internal aids and am forced to use external aids.
Called the medical aid … they have said i can use R 12750.00 for hearing aid equipment.
I have 3 types that i CAN use … below; listed;
Oticon Delta 6000 – R 12400 each
Widex – Aikia’s – R 13 500 each
Siemens – Centra Active – R 18 000 each
This is LOWER end of the ranges …
So … I have to get two … but medical aid just covers one?
So on friday im off to CAMAF offices to fight this as i wont tolerate or accept a “fund policy” reply and I will take it further.
Fucking fed up with something always fucking going wrong … never mind shaun now … :/

What caused the hearing loss? If you have a disability policy, you can claim from that as well.
Medical aid is full of shit, but go fight them!
Going to fight with CAMAF on friday … no idea what cover i have … but i wont accept their policy bullshit …
Its a “hereditary / genetic” defect :/ so i doubt disability will cover!
