Installing Filezilla on CentOS
Been trying to find a way to do a rpm install of filezilla on CentOS for a while now and keep coming across posts of it but no actual help at all.
I do however find comments like this in request of help on this issue;
Get a better distribution then that does have FileZilla packages.
Considering CentOS is based on Redhat and extremely stable, people should rather assist and not diss the distro and say to use something else, however it has forced me to try and get it right.
So, first, download this RPM and then do the following;
yum install wxGTK wxGTK-devel
and then
rpm -i filezilla-3.0.1-1.fc8.i386.rpm
Presto!
Update: FTPES crashes this installation!
And a further update, download this pre-built binary

Very helpful, thank you very much. The only thing, I found .rpm file from another website. Your link doesn’t seem to be working. Here’s the working link : http://lesloueizeh.com/f8/i386/fedora/Packages/filezilla-3.0.1-1.fc8.i386.rpm
